Altopiano del Renon (BZ): tour on the old Renon Railway electric train, which dates back to the Austrian-Hungarian empire. The train travels from Assunta to Collalbo, along a route of over six kilometers through woods and meadows.
Non Valley castles (TN): the Thun, Bragher, Cles and Caldes castles are immersed in orchards. Almost all of them are private property, and thus even more fascinating, but can be visited by personal request.
Glorenza (BZ): surrounded by meadows and fields, it is a small treasure. It boasts the best maintained civic structures of the Tyrol. The salt trading routes passed by here.
Novacella (BZ): the largest abbey in the Tyrol is found here. The grandiose complex, surrounded by vineyards, is made up of a late baroque church, a Gothic cloister, the well of miracles and the famous library.
Other villages: Andalo, Brunico, Folgaria, Molveno, Pasubio, Riva del Garda.
Cheese ‘canederli’: small balls made out of stale bread, eggs, chives, flour, milk and cheeses; cooked in broth and served with melted butter and cheese.
Carne Salada and beans: ‘Carne salada’ (literally salted meat) is pickled leg of ox, cut into slices and lightly grilled.
Potato polenta: an old peasant recipe made with yellow flour mixed with onions lightly fried in oil and boiled potatoes.
Apple strudel: the sweet from Alto Adige par excellence. Roll of puff pastry filled with rennet apples sprinkled with cinnamon.
Wines: Chardonnay, Müller Thurgau, Nosiola, Pinot Nero, Sauvignon, Grappa.
Wood: The Gardena Valley artisans are masters in the art of wood working, giving life to objects and knickknacks of all kinds.
Jute figures: nativity scene figures made exclusively by hand – dressed in velvet and brocade.
Embroidery on leather: small white strips obtained from peacock feathers are used to decorate shoulder straps, belts and shoes.
Thun: ceramics produced following the ancient artisan tradition from Alto Adige. The ‘Angioletto’ (little angel) is one of the most famous subjects.
Bressanone: December Christmas markets. The fragrances of vin brulè and Christmas cakes mix with the sounds of music in a truly unique concert.
Merano: August and September – Merano Musical Weeks. Among the most important classic music festivals in Europe.
Bolzano: first ten days of September - "The Court of King Laurino”. The misterious king of dwarfs. Open air market with people wearing typical clothes, street theatre, concerts and stalls.
Trent: Second Sunday in September – Match between archers. To commemorate the victory of the Episcopal Principality of Trent and the connected forces of the Tyrolean Confederation over the Serenissima of Venice.
